On Sunday 15th December the Southwell City Devils were invited to join a high level U7 tournament at the YEL Nottingham Forest Xmas Festival at the Nigel Doughty Academy. Teams were split into 2 groups of 6 teams with 85 U7 players featuring in the tournament.
The Southwell City Devils started with a draw in their opening game, followed by three consecutive victories. In their final game, the Devils secured another win to claim the trophy, completing an unbeaten tournament. All the devils received a Nottingham Forest certificate, and a medal, and got to take home the trophy.
Following the success at the tournament Manager Jordan Bowery was invited onto BBC Radio Nottingham to talk about the Tournament, Grassroots Football and managing the Devils.
