Southwell City Ladies, fresh off a title-winning debut season, are on the hunt for new players aged 16 and above to bolster their squad for the upcoming 2024/2025 campaign. With a welcoming and friendly group of players, two training sessions per week, and many social events throughout the season, Southwell City Ladies is certainly a team to be involved with.
The ladies have shown promising form in pre-season matches, securing a 7-1 victory against Lincoln Griffins and a 3-3 draw with Newark Town. They also held their own against higher-tier opponents, narrowly losing 7-4 to Asfordby Amateurs LG&I Ladies and 4-0 to Sheffield Wednesday Ladies Firsts, demonstrating their ability to compete at a higher level.
Following these encouraging performances, the team has set their sights on a top-half finish in their new league, with the ultimate goal of securing a second consecutive promotion. This could potentially open the door to FA Cup participation in the 2025/2026 season.
